How TableMate’s main features work—Sea, libraries, colonies, marketplace, LFG, and account settings. You can read this without signing in. UI details may change; the live app wins when they differ.
Use the header language switch (ZH/EN) and the search box.
Bottom nav: Explore (Sea / Rules / Map), Home (feature hub), Community (Market / Discussion / LFG / Seller / Fun). Open Colony and Chat from the header.
Top-right shows Guest until you have a formal account; the site auto-creates / restores a temporary account (you can also manage it under Temporary in the menu). Temporary accounts can post, chat, favorite, and use colonies; bind Google to keep the same UID permanently.
Prefer Google sign-in for a formal account. After login, the avatar menu opens Member Center, guide links, changelog, and support.
If the UI looks outdated, use “Update Now” in the avatar menu to hard-refresh assets.
2. Board Game Sea
The Sea is a community encyclopedia—explore titles by players, duration, difficulty, or tags, and open rules links when available.
Search Chinese or English names.
Tap Filters to open a popup filter frame (tags, players, duration, difficulty)—not an inline drawer above the list.
Switch list / card / draw views as you like.
3. Libraries / collections
Libraries track what you own or follow. The Sea is public data; a library is yours or your colony’s.
Add from the Sea with a temporary or formal account.
Fields like purchaser, stock date, price, sleeve size, and physical shelf location.
Location search supports prefixes (e.g. A櫃 for all A-cabinet slots, A櫃一層 for that layer only); virtual cabinets / whiteboards are searchable too.
Expansions and bulk edits when collections grow.
Space limits may apply on free accounts—expand with tokens or VIP as shown in-app.
Cloud sync is automatic after sign-in (Firebase). Use the same account on another device—no manual “Cloud sync” button.
4. Colonies
Colonies suit clubs, stores, or regular groups: shared library, announcements, and chat.
Open Colony from the top header (left of the notification bell); desktop usually uses a dedicated window, mobile often embeds in-page.
Switch between the public lobby and your colonies from the selector inside Colony.
Inventory Filters open as a popup filter frame; search supports physical/virtual location prefixes.
Owners/admins manage members and settings; members follow permissions.
Cloud sync (automatic): after you sign in, inventory writes to Firebase live. Add/edit/delete syncs automatically; use the same account on another device. There is no everyday “tap to sync” button.
Upload local backup appears on Remote only if this browser still has a legacy offline backup and the cloud library is empty—most users will never see it.
See a short explainer under Remote → Library settings.
Temporary accounts can use lobby, personal library, and basic join/create flows.
